How it works

1. Cast any creature by paying its mana cost.
2. When the creature enters as a Plains due to Ashaya and Emeria Shepherd, Emeria Shepherd triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Phantom Train by sacrificing the creature cast in step 1.
4. Resolve the Emeria Shepherd trigger, returning another creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This loop transforms your battlefield into a self-sustaining engine by turning every creature into a literal land source. With Celestial Dawn in play making all your lands Plains, Ashaya, Soul of the Wild steps in to ensure every nontoken creature you control is also a Forest land, cleverly granting them the Plains land type as well. Whenever you cast a creature, Ashaya's continuous typing causes it to enter the battlefield as a land, immediately triggering Emeria Shepherd's landfall ability to return a nonland permanent directly to the battlefield. By responding to that trigger with Phantom Train's activation—sacrificing the newly entered creature to grow the Vehicle—you fuel a continuous cycle that lets you recur your entire graveyard to the battlefield while generating infinite sacrifice and death triggers.
