This clever mana-generation loop turns your creature lineup into a bustling forest thanks to Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, which cleverly transforms every nontoken creature you control into a Forest land in addition to its other types. This means Bog Initiate is suddenly a land alongside its creature type, allowing Blossoming Tortoise to step in with its passive cost-reduction ability and make those land abilities cost {1} less to activate. Normally, Bog Initiate’s ability costs {1} to filter into {B}, but with the Tortoise's discount, that activation cost drops to zero. You can thus tap and activate the Initiate for free over and over again, churning out an infinite supply of black mana right on the spot.
