How it works

1. Cast Bladewing's Thrall by paying 2.
2. When Bladewing's Thrall enters, Dragonback Assault triggers, as Bladewing's Thrall is a land due to Ashaya.
3. Holding priority, activate Thermopod by sacrificing Bladewing's Thrall.
4. Resolve the Dragonback Assault trigger, creating a 4/4 Dragon creature token.
5. When the Dragon enters, Bladewing's Thrall triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This ingenious loop turns your graveyard into a perpetual engine for red mana and flying dragons by reshaping the very nature of your battlefield. Ashaya, Soul of the Wild does the heavy lifting behind the scenes, transforming every nontoken creature into a Forest land—which means when Bladewing's Thrall enters the battlefield, it immediately triggers Dragonback Assault's landfall ability to create a 4/4 red Dragon token. That newly arrived Dragon in turn triggers Bladewing's Thrall to resurrect itself from the graveyard, setting the stage for Thermopod to sacrifice the Thrall for red mana and feed the loop all over again.
