How it works

1. Cast Bumi by paying its mana cost
2. When Bumi enters, its earthbend ability triggers, causing it to earthbend itself as it is a Forest due to Ashaya.
3. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Bumi
4. When Bumi dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
5. When Bumi enters, its earthbend ability triggers, causing it to earthbend itself as it is a Forest due to Ashaya.
6. Repeat from step 3.

This looping engine hums with the primal force of the earth, relying on Ashaya, Soul of the Wild to turn every nontoken creature you control—including Bumi, Eclectic Earthbender—into a Forest land in addition to its other types. Because Bumi is now a land, its own earthbending entry trigger allows it to target itself, making it a 0/0 creature land that immediately returns to the battlefield tapped whenever it dies or is exiled. You can then feed this resilient earthbender directly to Thermopod, sacrificing Bumi to generate a steady stream of red mana while triggering its self-recursion loop infinitely.
