How it works

1. Cast Bladewing's Thrall by paying 2.
2. When Bladewing's Thrall enters, Dragonback Assault triggers, as Bladewing's Thrall is a land due to Ashaya.
3. Holding priority, activate Troubled Healer by sacrificing Bladewing's Thrall.
4. Resolve the Dragonback Assault trigger, creating a 4/4 Dragon creature token.
5. When the Dragon enters, Bladewing's Thrall triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns the battlefield into a self-sustaining engine by cleverly manipulating card types and triggers. With Ashaya, Soul of the Wild turning every nontoken creature into a land, casting Bladewing's Thrall causes it to enter as a land, which immediately triggers Dragonback Assault to deal 3 damage to everything. Before that damage resolves, you sacrifice the Thrall to Troubled Healer's ability to protect it—or send it to the graveyard where it belongs—while the Dragonback Assault trigger safely resolves to spawn a 4/4 red Dragon token. That newly arrived Dragon instantly triggers Bladewing's Thrall to resurrect itself from the graveyard back to the battlefield, restarting the cycle to endlessly churn out dragon tokens, landfall triggers, and sacrifice counts.
