How it works

1. Activate Yurlok of Scorch Thrash by paying 1 and tapping it, causing each player to add .
2. Activate Magus of the Candelabra by paying 2 and tapping it, untapping it and Yurlok of Scorch Thrash.
3. Repeat an arbitrarily large number of times.
4. Move to your next step or phase, causing each player to lose life equal to the amount of unspent mana in their mana pool.

This clever combination turns Yurlok of Scorch Thrash's symmetrical mana generation into a lethal weapon by leveraging Ashaya, Soul of the Wild to transform your nontoken creatures into Forest lands. With Magus of the Candelabra able to untap lands—including your newly forestized creatures—you can repeatedly activate Yurlok to flood every player's mana pool with black, red, and green mana. Because Yurlok of Scorch Thrash's static ability punishes players for unspent mana as phases change, the massive reserves your opponents are forced to hold will drain their life totals to zero the moment you advance the game.
