How it works

1. Cast Bladewing's Thrall by paying 2.
2. When Bladewing's Thrall enters, Dragonback Assault triggers, as Bladewing's Thrall is a land due to Ashaya.
3. Holding priority, activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Bladewing's Thrall.
4. Resolve the Dragonback Assault trigger, creating a 4/4 Dragon creature token.
5. When the Dragon enters, Bladewing's Thrall triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This ingenious engine turns your creatures into the very fuel that powers your dragonstorm, all orchestrated by Ashaya, Soul of the Wild turning every nontoken creature into a Forest land. Because of this static ability, casting Bladewing's Thrall causes it to enter as a land, immediately triggering Dragonback Assault's enters-the-battlefield damage. Before that damage can resolve, you sacrifice the Thrall to Woe Strider, sending it safely to the graveyard while getting a scry. Dragonback Assault's trigger then resolves to create a 4/4 red Dragon token, which in turn triggers the Bladewing's Thrall waiting in your graveyard to leap right back onto the battlefield—restarting the entire loop to generate an endless horde of dragons and sacrifices.
