How it works

1. Activate Lotus Ring's equip ability by paying 0, attaching it to Fervent Champion.
2. Activate Fervent Champion by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
3. When Fervent Champion dies, Koll triggers, returning Fervent Champion from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Cast Fervent Champion by paying .
5. Repeat.

This clever loop is powered by Fervent Champion's remarkable static ability, which reduces the cost of its own equip abilities by {3}—turning Lotus Ring's usual {3} equip cost down to a completely free {0}. Once the indestructible Lotus Ring is attached, you simply tap and sacrifice Fervent Champion for a quick burst of three red mana. That death triggers Koll, the Forgemaster's steady hand, instantly bouncing your champion right back to your hand so you can recast it using just a fraction of the mana you just generated.
