How it works

1. Activate Gyre Sage by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Gyre Sage.
3. Repeat

This clever loop transforms an ordinary mana dork into an infinite green mana engine by rewriting the rules of the battlefield. Biotransference is the linchpin here, turning every creature you control—including Gyre Sage—into an artifact in addition to its other types. Once Gyre Sage has accumulated enough +1/+1 counters to produce at least three mana per tap, you can use that green mana to fuel Voltaic Construct's ability, paying {2} to untap the now-artifact Gyre Sage. Because the cost to untap is less than the mana produced, you net positive mana with each iteration, letting you repeat the process indefinitely for infinite green mana and infinite untaps.
