How it works

1. Activate Clock of Omens by tapping it and the creature with a tap trigger, targeting the creature.
2. Ertha Jo and the creature trigger.
3. Resolve the creature's trigger.
4. Resolve the Ertha Jo trigger, copying Clock of Omens' ability, targeting Clock of Omens.
5. Resolve both Clock of Omens abilities, untapping it and the creature tapped in step 1.
6. Repeat.

This intricate loop turns a humble tap-ability into an engine of endless triggers by cleverly folding artifacts and copy mechanics together. Biotransference does the heavy lifting of turning your creatures—including the Mercenary token created by Ertha Jo, Frontier Mentor upon entry—into artifacts alongside their normal types. This status lets them feed into Clock of Omens right alongside the Clock itself. When you activate Clock of Omens by tapping it and your newly artifact-ified creature, Ertha Jo, Frontier Mentor steps in to copy that activation since it targets a creature. Resolving those copied untap triggers refreshes both the Clock and your creature, leaving you free to repeat the process infinitely and farm endless triggers.
