How it works

1. Donate Blightbeetle to an opponent
2. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing the undying creature.
3. When the undying creature dies, its undying ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to Blightbeetle.
4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This fascinating loop relies on giving your opponent a Blightbeetle, whose static ability prevents your opponents' creatures from ever receiving +1/+1 counters. By using Bazaar Trader to hand the Beetle across the table, you turn any creature with undying into a permanent sacrifice engine under Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. Shilgengar happily converts each sacrifice into Blood tokens while the thwarted +1/+1 counter from undying never sticks, allowing the creature to return endlessly. This generates an infinite storm of sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield effects, and a mountain of Blood tokens to fuel Shilgengar's mass-reanimation ability when you are ready to finish the game.
