How it works

  1. Activate Coveted Falcon by paying 1U mana, turning it face up.
  2. Coveted Falcon triggers, causing an opponent to gain control of Blightbeetle and causing you to draw a card.
  3. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing the undying creature.
  4. When the undying creature dies, its undying ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to Blightbeetle.
  5. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
  6. Repeat from step 3.

This loop turns an overlooked piece of rules interaction into a relentless engine, starting with Shilgengar, Sire of Famine serving as the ultimate sac-outlet to churn your creatures into an endless stream of Blood tokens. The magic relies entirely on Blightbeetle's passive static ability, which quietly shuts down +1/+1 counters; when your undying creatures hit the graveyard and try to return, Blightbeetle ensures they never actually receive their counters, leaving them permanently vulnerable to being sacrificed over and over again. Meanwhile, Coveted Falcon acts as a clever enabler or piece in the wider puzzle of battlefield control, rounding out a setup that lets you squeeze infinite death triggers and sacrifices out of your graveyard without ever running out of fuel.
