How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Hogaak.
2. When Hogaak dies, Bridge from Below and The Skullspore Nexus trigger, creating two creature tokens.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing you to mill eight cards.
4. Cast Hogaak from your graveyard by exiling five cards from your graveyard and tapping two black and/or green creatures you control.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns the recursive threat of Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis into a devastating engine by leveraging its ability to be cast straight from the graveyard using delve and convoke. When you sacrifice Hogaak to Altar of Dementia, you trigger a massive mill while simultaneously satisfying the conditions of Bridge from Below to spawn a Zombie token and The Skullspore Nexus to generate a Fungus Dinosaur token with power equal to the mighty Horror. These newly created tokens, along with cards sitting in your graveyard, pay the costs to recast Hogaak, allowing you to feed the Altar over and over again until your entire library is in the dust.
