How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Hogaak.
2. When Hogaak dies, Blight Mound and The Skullspore Nexus trigger, creating two creature tokens.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing you to mill eight cards.
4. Cast Hogaak from your graveyard by exiling five cards from your graveyard and tapping two black and/or green creatures you control.
5. Repeat.

This grisly loop is anchored by Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis, which sidesteps its lack of mana costs by letting you convoke it with creatures and delve it away with cards from your graveyard. You feed Hogaak to Altar of Dementia to mill an opponent out, and its death simultaneously triggers Blight Mound and The Skullspore Nexus to replace your sacrificed force with a Pest and a massive Fungus Dinosaur. These fresh tokens can then pay the convoke cost to recast Hogaak straight from your graveyard, allowing you to repeat the cycle indefinitely.
