How it works

1. Cast Infested Thrinax by paying 3.
2. When Infested Thrinax enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to create a number of 1/1 Saproling creature tokens when a nontoken creature you control dies.
3. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Hogaak, adding .
4. When Hogaak dies, Infested Thrinax triggers, creating eight 1/1 Saproling creature tokens.
5. Cast Hogaak from your graveyard by tapping seven Saprolings.
6. Repeat from step 3.

This ingenious loop turns Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis's alternative casting restrictions and massive power into an engine of continuous creation and sacrifice. By using Thermopod to feed Hogaak into the mana pool, you trigger the death-replacement effect granted by Infested Thrinax, which rewards you with a massive swarm of Saproling tokens equal to Hogaak's impressive power. You can then instantly funnel those very tokens right back into Hogaak’s convoke ability—alongside delving cards from your graveyard—to recast the towering Horror directly from your graveyard without spending any actual mana. Repeating this cycle yields an infinite storm count, endless deaths, and boundless red mana to close out the game.
