How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Hogaak.
2. When Hogaak dies, Fumulus and The Skullspore Nexus trigger, creating two creature tokens.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing you to mill eight cards.
4. Cast Hogaak from your graveyard by exiling five cards from your graveyard and tapping two black and/or green creatures you control.
5. Repeat.

This loop relies on Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis being completely free of mana costs to cast from your graveyard, using its delve and convoke abilities alongside the creatures you have available. When you feed Hogaak to Altar of Dementia, you mill eight cards to fuel future delve costs while triggering a cascade of secondary effects. Fumulus, the Infestation steps in to turn that sacrifice into a flying Insect token, and simultaneously, The Skullspore Nexus spawns a massive Fungus Dinosaur token whose power matches Hogaak's. You then use those freshly minted tokens to help convoke Hogaak right back out of the graveyard, keeping the cycle spinning endlessly.
