How it works

1. Cast Infested Thrinax by paying 3.
2. When Infested Thrinax enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to create a number of 1/1 Saproling creature tokens when a nontoken creature you control dies.
3. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Hogaak.
4. When Hogaak dies, Infested Thrinax triggers, creating eight 1/1 Saproling creature tokens.
5. Resolve the Shilgengar ability
6. Cast Hogaak from your graveyard by tapping seven Saprolings.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This elegant death-loop relies on Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to harvest your creatures and churn out valuable Blood tokens. Because Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis can be cast straight from your graveyard using delve and convoke, you don't even need traditional mana to recast it—instead, Infested Thrinax ensures that every time Hogaak hits the graveyard, its massive power spawns a horde of Saproling tokens. You can then tap those very Saprolings to pay for Hogaak's convoke cost, looping the sequence to generate an endless surplus of sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and Blood tokens.
