How it works

1. Cast Infested Thrinax by paying 3.
2. When Infested Thrinax enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to create a number of 1/1 Saproling creature tokens when a nontoken creature you control dies.
3. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Hogaak.
4. When Hogaak dies, Infested Thrinax triggers, creating eight 1/1 Saproling creature tokens.
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability
6. Cast Hogaak from your graveyard by tapping seven Saprolings.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This looping engine lets you endlessly sacrifice and recast your ultimate threat by leveraging the graveyard and tokens. You start by using Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis, sending the Avatar back to the graveyard while fueling your surveil. The death of Hogaak triggers Infested Thrinax, whose flash-granted ability rewards you with a swarm of Saproling tokens equal to the creature's massive power. You then use those very tokens to pay for Hogaak's convoke ability—recasting Hogaak directly from your graveyard for zero mana—so you can feed the Umbral Collar Zealot all over again.
