How it works

1. Activate Thopter Squadron's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token and a 1/1 Thopter artifact creature token.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Soldier, adding CC.
3. Activate Thopter Squadron's second ability by paying 1 and sacrificing the Thopter, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Thopter Squadron into a self-sustaining token factory by leveraging Queen Allenal of Ruadach's replacement effect to multiply your creations. Every time you spend a +1/+1 counter to hatch a Thopter, Queen Allenal steps in to sweeten the deal with an extra 1/1 Soldier token, providing the raw material you need to feed Ashnod's Altar. Sacrificing that Soldier to Ashnod's Altar generates the exact mana required to sacrifice the Thopter back to Thopter Squadron, successfully restocking your original counter while churning out an endless cascade of enters-the-battlefield, death, and sacrifice triggers.
