How it works

1. Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
2. When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Quintorius, History Chaser triggers, creating two creature tokens.
4. Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
6. Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Survey Mechan into a self-sustaining engine by heavily discounting its steep activation cost with your domain lands, allowing you to sacrifice it for damage, life, and card draw. The true magic happens because Mortuary instantly intercepts the Mechan upon its death, quietly redirecting it from your graveyard back to the top of your library so you can seamlessly recast it. Meanwhile, that zone transition triggers Quintorius, History Chaser to generate a token, which Queen Allenal of Ruadach's replacement effect cleverly amplifies into *two* tokens instead of one. You then feed those fresh bodies straight into Ashnod's Altar to generate the colorless mana needed to pay for the Mechan's return trip, repeating the cycle infinitely to burn out the table.
