How it works
- Activate Thallid Soothsayer by paying 2 and sacrificing another creature, causing you to draw a card.
- An opponent's Wedding Ring's second ability triggers, causing them to draw a card.
- Xyris's first ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Snake and a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Snake, adding CC.
- Repeat.
This engine transforms shared card draw into an overwhelming compounding advantage by turning your opponents' forced draws into your own infinite resources. With Wedding Ring installed on your opponent's side of the board, every time you pay to draw a card via Thallid Soothsayer, it triggers your opponent to draw in response; this in turn makes Xyris, the Writhing Storm flood the battlefield with Snake tokens whenever they draw past their first card. Queen Allenal of Ruadach ensures that every single one of those Snake tokens brings along a bonus Soldier token, padding your board state exponentially. Finally, Ashnod's Altar readily digests these sacrificed creatures to fuel Thallid Soothsayer's activation costs, keeping the endless loop spinning infinitely.
