How it works

  1. Cast Vishgraz either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 2W manaB manaG mana plus commander tax, if applicable.
  2. When Vishgraz enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating three 1/1 Phyrexian Mite artifact creature tokens and a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
  3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Vishgraz, adding W mana.
  4. When Vishgraz dies, Enduring Renewal triggers, returning Vishgraz from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Activate Phyrexian Altar four times by sacrificing the Soldier and Phyrexian Mites, adding 2B manaG mana.
  6. Repeat.

This clever loop leverages Enduring Renewal's replacement and death-trigger mechanics to continuously recycle your commander. When you cast Vishgraz, the Doomhive, its entry triggers along with Queen Allenal of Ruadach's token replacement effect, spawning a flurry of creature tokens alongside the Phyrexian Mites. You can then use Phyrexian Altar to sacrifice Vishgraz for mana, which immediately causes Enduring Renewal to return Vishgraz straight to your hand rather than letting it linger in the graveyard. Sacrificing the remaining tokens to Phyrexian Altar generates the exact mana needed to recast Vishgraz, fueling an endless cycle that endlessly pads your storm count and triggers infinite sacrifice and death effects.
