How it works

1. Activate up to seven lands you control by tapping them, adding at least 2.
2. Cast Mind Games with buyback by paying 2, targeting Great Whale.
3. Orvar's first ability triggers, creating a token copy of Great Whale.
4. When the Great Whale token enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
5. Resolve Mind Games, returning it to your hand.
6. Repeat.
7. If you control up to seven lands that can tap to produce at least 3, this combo nets infinite mana, which you can then target any creatures you control in step 2 to create infinite token copies of them.

This clever loop turns the unassuming utility spell Mind Games into an engine for boundless mana and creature copies, fueled entirely by the generous untap trigger of Great Whale. By casting Mind Games with its buyback cost paid to target your own Great Whale, you satisfy Orvar, the All-Form's triggered ability—which capitalizes on spells targeting your permanents to instantly spin up a brand-new token copy of the Whale. Every time that token enters the battlefield, it refreshes your mana supply by untapping your lands, easily paying for the next iteration of Mind Games and leaving you with infinite mana and as many token copies of your creatures as you could ever desire.
