How it works

1. Activate Aetherflux Reservoir by paying 50 life, dealing 50 damage to yourself.
2. Darien triggers, creating fifty 1/1 Soldier creature tokens.
3. When the Soldiers enter the battlefield, Soul's Attendant triggers 50 times, causing you to gain 100 life.
4. Repeat.

When you pay 50 life to activate the Reservoir and target yourself, Darien, King of Kjeldor steps in to convert that self-inflicted damage into fifty Soldier tokens instead of knocking you out.
