How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument.
2. Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument trigger.
3. Resolve the Defiler of Faith trigger, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
4. When the Soldier enters, Soul's Attendant triggers, causing you to gain life.
5. Resolve the Oketra's Monument trigger, creating a 1/1 Warrior creature token.
6. When the Warrior enters, Soul's Attendant triggers, causing you to gain life.
7. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Soul's Attendant trigger.
8. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
9. Resolve the Soul's Attendant trigger, causing you to gain life.
10. Repeat.

This crafty loop relies on a clever stacking of cost reducers to cast Whitemane Lion entirely for free. With both Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument reducing its mana value down to zero, you can repeatedly deploy the cat by simply paying two life to the Defiler's alternative cost. Every time the Lion enters the battlefield, its own mandatory trigger bounces it right back to your hand, while Soul's Attendant capitalizes on the revolving door by steadily padding your life total. Meanwhile, the static token-generation triggers from both Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument fire off with every single cast, flooding your board with an endless army of Soldiers and Warriors.
