How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing the creature with Griffin Guide attached.
2. When the creature dies, Cass and Griffin Guide trigger.
3. Resolve the Griffin Guide trigger, creating a 2/2 Griffin creature token.
4. Resolve the Cass trigger, returning Griffin Guide from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to another creature you control.
5. Resolve the Shilgengar ability
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Shilgengar, Sire of Famine into an engine of endless rebirth by using its own sacrificial hunger to fuel a cascading chain of triggers. When you sacrifice a creature enchanted by Griffin Guide to Shilgengar, the resulting death triggers not only leave behind a flying token from the Guide, but also prompt Cass, Hand of Vengeance to immediately fish the Aura right back out of your graveyard and loop it onto a new target. Because Shilgengar's first ability generates a Blood token every time a creature is sacrificed, you accumulate infinite artifacts alongside your endless sacrifice, death, and creature-token triggers.
