How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, it and Tresserhorn's Lord trigger.
3. Resolve the Tresserhorn's Lord trigger, causing you to draw a card.
4. Resolve the persist creature's trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
5. When the persist creature enters the battlefield, Olivia triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature and causing you to discard a card.
6. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
7. Repeat.

This loop relies on a clever interplay of sacrifice and resurrection to churn through your deck while generating an army of Blood tokens. With Shilgengar, Sire of Famine acting as your primary sac outlet, you feed it a persist creature to fuel its ability—producing extra Blood tokens if you happened to sacrifice an Angel—while Tresserhorn's Lord, Returned ensures that every single sacrifice rewards you with a fresh card drawn. Whenever that persist creature returns to the battlefield, Olivia, Mobilized for War steps in to grant it a +1/+1 counter and haste, instantly neutralizing the -1/-1 counter that would otherwise lock it out of the loop. You can cycle this entire sequence indefinitely, looting away unwanted cards and flooding the board with triggers and resources.
