How it works

1. Activate Feldon of the Third Path by paying 2 and tapping it, creating a token copy of Cathodion with haste.
2. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing the Cathodion token, adding .
3. When the Cathodion token dies, it and Feldon of the Third Path trigger.
4. Resolve the Feldon of the Third Path trigger, untapping it.
5. Resolve the Cathodion trigger, adding CCC.
6. Repeat.

This engine is a masterclass in recycling, turning the graveyard into a perpetual motion machine fueled by Feldon of the Third Path and his mechanical creations. By equipping Feldon of the Third Path with Thornbite Staff, you grant him a lethal little pinging ability, but more importantly, the staff's triggered ability ensures he untaps every time a creature dies. You then use Feldon to forge a temporary copy of Cathodion, which can be instantly sacrificed to Thermopod for red mana. The true brilliance lies in Cathodion's death trigger feeding you three colorless mana alongside Thornbite Staff's automatic untap, leaving you with a surplus of resources to keep looping the process indefinitely.
