How it works
- Activate Faeburrow Elder by tapping it, adding at least .
- Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Derevi.
- Choose to return Derevi from your graveyard to the command zone.
- Resolve the Shilgengar ability
- Activate Derevi by paying 1, putting it from the command zone onto the battlefield.
- When Derevi enters the battlefield, it triggers twice.
- Resolve the first trigger, untapping Faeburrow Elder.
- Activate Faeburrow Elder by tapping it, adding at least .
- Resolve the second Derevi trigger, untapping Faeburrow Elder.
- Repeat.
This loop relies on recycling Derevi, Empyrial Tactician straight from the command zone to repeatedly trigger its enters-the-battlefield ability, which is doubled thanks to Delney, Streetwise Lookout amplifying any creature with power 2 or less. Faeburrow Elder acts as your mana engine, easily producing enough colored mana to pay Derevi's command zone activation cost each cycle, while Shilgengar, Sire of Famine fuels the graveyard loop by converting your commander into a stash of Blood tokens.
