How it works

1. Activate Faeburrow Elder by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Vigean Graftmage by paying 1, untapping Faeburrow Elder.

This elegant loop hinges on Faeburrow Elder's ability to produce a generous windfall of colored mana, which is more than enough to repeatedly pay Vigean Graftmage's untap cost while leaving a tidy profit behind. Because Vigean Graftmage's own untap ability targets any creature with a +1/+1 counter on it, and Faeburrow Elder naturally grows large enough to pump out diverse mana of multiple colors, the Elder conveniently qualifies as a legal target for the untap ability without even needing its native graft counters moved. You simply tap Faeburrow Elder for a surplus of mana, spend a fraction of it to untap it with Vigean Graftmage, and repeat the cycle to generate an infinite supply of colored mana.
