How it works

1. Activate Sage of the Maze's second ability by tapping it, causing the Gate to become a creature.
2. Cast Springheart Nantuko for its bestow cost by paying 1, attaching it to the animated Gate.
3. Play a land.
4. When the land enters, Springheart Nantuko triggers.
5. Holding priority, activate Sage of the Maze's third ability by tapping an untapped Gate, untapping Sage of the Maze.
6. Activate Sage of the Maze's first ability by tapping it, adding 1.
7. Resolve the Springheart Nantuko trigger, causing you to pay 1 to create a token copy of the Gate it is attached to.
8. Repeat from step 4.

This elegant loop turns your mana-producing infrastructure into a self-replicating army, powered by Sage of the Maze animating your land as a Gate creature. Springheart Nantuko then attaches to this animated land via its bestow cost, setting up a potent engine where every new land drop triggers a copy of your creature-land. By utilizing Sage of the Maze's untap ability—fueled by tapping another untapped Gate—you generate the exact green mana needed to pay for the Nantuko's landfall trigger, creating endless token copies and infinite landfall triggers in the process.
