How it works

1. Play Gruul Turf.
2. When Gruul Turf enters the battlefield, it, Maja, and Kodama of the East Tree trigger.
3. Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
4. Resolve the Gruul Turf trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
5. Resolve the Maja trigger, creating a token.
6. When the token enters the battlefield, Kodama triggers, putting Gruul Turf from your hand onto the battlefield.
7. When Gruul Turf enters the battlefield, it and Maja trigger.
8. Repeat from step 4.
