How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Horde Ambusher.
2. When Horde Ambusher dies, Yedora triggers, returning Horde Ambusher from your graveyard to the battlefield face down as a Forest land.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Horde Ambusher's power.
4. Activate Horde Ambusher by tapping it, adding .
5. Activate Horde Ambusher's morph ability by revealing a red card from your hand, turning it face up.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Yedora, Grave Gardener transforming every death into a fresh opportunity, as any fallen nontoken creature returns directly to the battlefield as a face-down Forest land. By sacrificing Horde Ambusher to Altar of Dementia, you trigger Yedora's rebirth ability while simultaneously milling your opponent based on the creature's power. Once back on the battlefield as a land, that same Horde Ambusher can immediately tap for green mana to help pay for its own morph cost, allowing you to turn it face up before sending it back to the altar. Because it reverts to a creature when turned face up, it is fully primed to be sacrificed to Altar of Dementia all over again, creating a self-sustaining engine of infinite mill, sacrifices, and green mana.
