How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing a nontoken Forest, which is a creature due to Ambush Commander.
2. When the Forest dies, Yedora triggers, returning the Forest from your graveyard to the battlefield face down as a Forest land.
3. Resolve the Shilgengar ability
4. Repeat.

This intricate loop transforms the humble woodlands of your board into an infinite engine for sacrifice and resurrection. Shilgengar, Sire of Famine provides the sacrificial outlet, happily chewing up creatures to generate Blood tokens. Meanwhile, Ambush Commander ensures that your lands are also 1/1 green Elf creatures, making them eligible victims for Shilgengar's hunger. Whenever one of these land-creatures dies, Yedora, Grave Gardener instantly rescues it from the graveyard, slipping it back onto the battlefield face down as a fresh Forest land ready to be animated and sacrificed all over again.
