How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Yedora triggers, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield face-down as a Forest land.
3. Activate the creature by tapping it, adding .
4. Activate Primordial Mist by exiling the creature face-up, allowing you to play the creature from exile this turn.
5. Cast the creature from exile by paying its mana cost.
6. Repeat.
7. If the creature can be cast using two or less mana, this combo nets infinite mana.

This clever loop turns Ashnod's Altar into a reliable engine for infinite mana and sacrifice triggers by exploiting the unique rules of face-down permanents. Whenever you sacrifice a creature to the Altar, Yedora, Grave Gardener immediately catches it as it dies, resurrecting it face-down as a Forest land that can tap for green mana. To break the permanence of that face-down state, Primordial Mist provides the crucial escape hatch: you can exile the land-creature face-up to its activated ability, freeing it to be recast from exile and returning it to your hand or stack so the cycle can begin anew.
