How it works

1. Activate Proteus Machine's morph ability by paying 0, turning it face-up.
2. Proteus Machine triggers, causing it to become a Saproling.
3. Activate the sacrifice outlet by sacrificing Proteus Machine.
4. When Proteus Machine dies, Yedora triggers, returning Proteus Machine from your graveyard to the battlefield face-down as a Forest land.
5. Resolve the sacrifice outlet's ability.
6. Activate Proteus Machine by tapping it, adding .
7. Repeat.

This brilliant botanical loop turns Proteus Machine into a self-sustaining mana engine by leaning into the continuous resurrection provided by Yedora, Grave Gardener. Because Proteus Machine can be cast or turned face down and features a morph cost of {0}, it can be repeatedly sacrificed to a sacrifice outlet, only to trigger Yedora and return straight to the battlefield as a face-down Forest land. Once it's back on the battlefield in this guise, you can simply tap it for green mana just like any other Forest, then repeat the process endlessly to generate infinite green mana, landfall triggers, and creature deaths.
