How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Headhunter, adding .
2. When Headhunter dies, Yedora triggers, returning Headhunter from your graveyard to the battlefield face down as a Forest land.
3. Activate Headhunter by tapping it, adding .
4. Activate Headhunter's morph ability by paying , turning it face up.
5. Repeat.

This clever synergy turns the humble Headhunter into a self-sustaining mana engine by leaning into the unique rules of face-down creatures. When you sacrifice Headhunter to Phyrexian Altar, Yedora, Grave Gardener immediately rescues it from the graveyard, returning it directly to the battlefield face down as a Forest land. Because lands can tap for mana, you can tap your newly landified Headhunter for green mana before using the black mana generated by the Altar to pay Headhunter's morph cost, turning it face up so it's ready to be sacrificed all over again.
