How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature you control, adding 1.
2. When the creature dies, Yedora triggers, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield face-down as a Forest land.
3. Activate the creature by tapping it, adding .
4. Activate Hauntwoods Shrieker by paying 1, turning the creature face-up.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the cycle of life and death into a perpetual mana engine by using Yedora, Grave Gardener to continually recycle your creatures as face-down Forest lands whenever they are sacrificed to Phyrexian Altar. Once your sacrificed creature returns to the battlefield, it can immediately tap for mana—a crucial trick enabled by its new Land type—providing the exact green mana needed to help fund Hauntwoods Shrieker's ability. Finally, Hauntwoods Shrieker steps in to turn that face-down permanent right back face up, readying it to be fed back into the Altar for infinite death and sacrifice triggers.
