How it works

1. Activate Metalworker by tapping it, adding at least six C.
2. Activate Staff of Domination's third ability by paying 3 and tapping it, untapping Metalworker.
3. Activate Staff of Domination's first ability by paying 1, untapping it.
4. Repeat.

This classic combo hinges on the staggering mana production of Metalworker, which easily generates massive amounts of colorless mana the moment it taps while you hold a few artifacts in hand. That wealth of mana feeds directly into Staff of Domination, whose ability to untap a creature for three mana and then untap itself for one creates a closed loop. Because Metalworker produces far more than the four total mana required to execute this untap cycle, you net infinite colorless mana along the way. Once you have an endless supply of mana, you can cycle through the rest of the Staff's activated abilities to draw your entire deck, gain infinite life, and tap down any opposing creatures that stand in your way.
