How it works

2. Activate Crossroads Candleguide by paying 2, adding .
3. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying , untapping Metalworker.
4. Repeat.

While Freed from the Real provides the crucial untap ability for just one blue mana, Crossroads Candleguide acts as a convenient color-fixing conduit that converts your generic mana into the exact blue mana needed to keep the loop going. As long as you have at least two artifact cards in your hand to fuel Metalworker's high mana yield, repeating this process generates an infinite supply of both colorless and colored mana to fund the rest of your game plan.
