How it works

1. Activate Torchling's first ability by tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Torchling by paying , untapping it.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Torchling into a self-sustaining mana engine by leaning on the global enchantment effects of Cryptolith Rite and Mana Reflection. Cryptolith Rite grants Torchling the ability to tap for mana, which Mana Reflection instantly doubles to two red mana per tap. You can then channel one of those mana into Torchling's built-in untap ability, leaving you with a net gain of one red mana each iteration. Because Torchling can repeat this process indefinitely, you are free to generate an infinite supply of colored mana to fuel the rest of your game plan.
