How it works

1. Activate Unnatural Selection by paying 1, causing Magmaw to become a Pirate until end of turn.
2. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
3. Malcolm triggers, creating a Treasure, Food and Clue token.
4. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
5. Repeat from step 2.

By using Unnatural Selection to rewrite Magmaw's creature type to Pirate, you unlock a brilliant engine fueled by Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator's ability to generate Treasures whenever your Pirates damage an opponent. Magmaw provides the sacrificial outlet and the damage source needed to trigger Malcolm, while Academy Manufactor steps in to heavily upgrade every single Treasure into a massive cascade of a Clue, a Food, and a Treasure instead. You then sacrifice the newly minted Treasure for mana to sustain the loop, effortlessly cycling through your nonland permanents to deal infinite damage and flood the board with infinite artifact tokens.
