How it works

1. Activate Unnatural Selection by paying 1, causing Magmaw to become a Pirate until end of turn.
2. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
3. Malcolm triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
4. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This loop turns the battlefield into a ruthless engine of recursive recycling, fueled by Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and his uncanny ability to mint gold whenever Pirates deal damage. To make our elemental leviathan fit the pirate crew, Unnatural Selection steps in to permanently rewrite Magmaw's identity into a swashbuckling Pirate for a mere single mana. Once Magmaw hurls a nonland permanent at an opponent's face, Malcolm's trigger is immediately satisfied, but Xorn doubles down on our bounty to ensure every payload yields an extra Treasure token. That surplus of riches provides both the fodder and the mana to feed Magmaw's appetite endlessly, closing out the game in a blaze of fiery, infinite damage.
