How it works

1. Activate Unnatural Selection by paying 1, causing Pensive Professor to become a Merfolk or Knight until end of turn.
2. Draw a card.
3. Vodalian Wave-Knight triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Pensive Professor.
4. Pensive Professor triggers, causing you to draw a card.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This clever engine turns the flexible creature-type manipulation of Unnatural Selection into a self-sustaining loop by temporarily transforming Pensive Professor into a Merfolk or Knight. Once that type is established, drawing a single card wakes up Vodalian Wave-Knight to place a +1/+1 counter on Pensive Professor, which immediately triggers the Professor's own ability to draw another card in response. Because these two creatures feed each other's triggers indefinitely, you can cycle through your entire deck while stacking near-infinite power onto your board.
