How it works

1. Cast Wick either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 3 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. When Wick enters the battlefield, it triggers.
3. Holding priority, if you control a Snail, activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing the Snail, putting a +1/+1 counter on Umbral Collar Zealot.
4. If needed, repeat step 3 until you do not control a Snail.
5. Resolve the Wick trigger, creating a 1/1 Snail creature token.
6. When the Snail enters the battlefield as a Rat due to Leyline of Transformation, Wick triggers.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This ingenious loop turns Wick, the Whorled Mind into a self-sustaining engine by manipulating creature types with Leyline of Transformation. Because Leyline of Transformation makes all your creatures Rats, every Snail token that enters also counts as a Rat, triggering Wick, the Whorled Mind to continuously generate fresh Snails whenever you don't control one. You can then feed those newly minted creatures directly into Umbral Collar Zealot's sacrifice ability to surveil through your entire deck, setting up an endless stream of entries, leaves, and sacrifices.
