How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Priest of Gix.
2. When Priest of Gix dies, Rakdos triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Haunted Crossroads by paying , putting Priest of Gix from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, causing you to exile the top three cards of your library with the ability to play them until your next end step.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability from step 1, causing target player to mill cards equal to Priest of Gix's power.
6. Cast Priest of Gix from exile by paying at most 2.
7. Animar triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
8. When Priest of Gix enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding .
9. Repeat.

This loop turns a modest black-mana-producing creature into an engine for infinite resources by weaving together cost reduction, recursion, and sacrifice. Whenever Priest of Gix hits the battlefield, its entry ability generates {B}{B}{B}, providing the black mana needed to feed Haunted Crossroads and replay the creature from exile. Animar, Soul of Elements lowers the casting cost of those creatures to zero as its +1/+1 counters accumulate, while Altar of Dementia and Rakdos, the Muscle turn every iteration into endless sacrifices that mill opponents and exile your entire library so you can play anything you want.
