How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Priest of Gix.
2. When Priest of Gix dies, Rakdos triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Haunted Crossroads by paying , putting Priest of Gix from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, causing you to exile the top three cards of your library with the ability to play them until your next end step.
5. Resolve the Shilgengar ability from step 1.
6. Cast Priest of Gix from exile by paying 2.
7. When Priest of Gix enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding .
8. Repeat.

This vicious loop uses Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to sacrifice Priest of Gix, which kicks off a cascade of triggers and mana generation. While Priest of Gix is in the graveyard, Haunted Crossroads lets you pay black mana to put it right back on top of your library, where Rakdos, the Muscle's sacrifice trigger will then exile it—though thanks to Rakdos's own effect, you can immediately cast it again using the mana the Priest itself provides. Meanwhile, Cemetery Prowler acts as a vital cost-reducer to make the loop self-sustaining, while Shilgengar conveniently stockpiles an endless swarm of Blood tokens to fuel future plays.
