How it works

1. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Priest of Gix.
2. When Priest of Gix dies, Rakdos triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Haunted Crossroads by paying , putting Priest of Gix from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, causing you to exile the top three cards of your library with the ability to play them until your next end step.
5. Resolve the Phantom Train ability from step 1.
6. Cast Priest of Gix from exile by paying 2
7. When Priest of Gix enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding .
8. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the self-contained dark magic of Rakdos, the Muscle and Phantom Train into an engine that eats and remakes your deck. By using Phantom Train to sacrifice Priest of Gix, you trigger Rakdos to exile cards from the top of your library while the Priest generates a burst of black mana upon its return. Haunted Crossroads quietly patches the loop together by placing the sacrificed Priest right back onto your library just in time for Rakdos to let you cast it from exile. Meanwhile, Cemetery Prowler stands guard in the background, subtly reducing your casting costs based on the exiled card types so that you can infinitely repeat the cycle and eventually exile your entire library with mana to spare.
