How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Priest of Gix.
2. When Priest of Gix dies, Rakdos triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Haunted Crossroads by paying , putting Priest of Gix from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, causing you to exile the top three cards of your library with the ability to play them until your next end step.
5. Resolve the Shilgengar ability from step 1.
6. Cast Priest of Gix from exile by paying 2.
7. When Priest of Gix enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding .
8. Repeat.

This clever loop revolves around Shilgengar, Sire of Famine sacrificing Priest of Gix, which net-generates mana upon entering the battlefield and simultaneously triggers Rakdos, the Muscle to exile cards from the top of your library. While holding priority on that exile trigger, you use Haunted Crossroads to cycle the Priest right back onto the top of your library so you can cast it out of exile for cheap—a cost further smoothed by Honest Rutstein, whose passive cost-reduction ensures the loop stays mana-positive. By repeating this process, you continuously churn through your library while feeding Shilgengar's appetite, generating an infinite stream of Blood tokens and death triggers.
