How it works

1. Activate Plate Armor's equip ability by paying 0, targeting Priest of Gix.
2. Monk Gyatso triggers, airbending Priest of Gix.
3. The Plate Armor ability fizzles due to no longer having a legal target.
4. Cast Priest of Gix from exile by paying 2.
5. When Priest of Gix enters, it triggers, adding .
6. Repeat.

This brilliant loop relies on Monk Gyatso to continuously exile and recast Priest of Gix, turning the black mana generated on entry into a self-sustaining engine. Because Plate Armor's equip ability targets Priest of Gix while its cost is reduced to zero, it instantly provokes Monk Gyatso's airbending trigger, exiling the priest and fizzling the equipment's attachment before it can resolve. You can then simply recast the Priest of Gix from exile for just two generic mana using Monk Gyatso's effect, netting a profit of one black mana each iteration while churning out infinite enters-the-battlefield triggers and storm count.
